Carbon E7 is the latest the cop car designed for American police. The Carbon E7 boasts an aluminum spaceframe chassis and a twin-turbo diesel engine, and every other component is designed to specifically serve police applications.
The limited-production car will be expensive, but it is designed to run problem-free for at least 400,000 km, so it will offset some of the initial costs.
Carbon Motors has identified sites in Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina and Braselton as possible manufacturing bases for the car. The expected date of launch is sometime in 2012.
