System76, the Linux-based computer manufacturer, has just unveiled its new Netbook called Starling, a laptop by now classical dimensions, characterized by specific but more advanced.
The System76 Starling Netbook fact, in addition to a display 10.1-inch WXGA HD Super Clear Ultra Bright LED-backlit 1024 x 600, Intel GMA 3150 graphics card and 2 GB of RAM, has a dual-core Atom N550 to 1.50 GHz
The remaining specifications are configurable: you can choose for example between a hard disk up to 640 GB SSD and up to 160 GB, or between a 3-cell battery and a 6 cell. Ethernet, wi-fi, 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA, card reader, audio jacks for headphones and microphone complete the equipment of the laptop in terms of connectivity.
Netbook running Ubuntu 4.10 32-Bit Edition, and a simple but elegant desgin, to be chosen in black or red discreetly, the Starling Netbook basic version costs $ 385 (about 280 euro exchange rate).
