LaCie, always ahead in proposing solutions to keep up with technological developments, has already presented and put on the market Hub4, a hub with 4 ports USB 3.0 standard.
The maximum transfer rate that can reach the second Hub4 LaCie is 5 Gbps, the new hub is still backward compatible with USB 2.0, but the transfer rate obviously goes down to a maximum of 480 Mbps
LaCie Hub4 is available at € 49.99 on the LaCie site and the package also includes a USB 3.0 cable and an external power supply.
